NATALIE GAVIN ACTING – TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ATTENDING

(Updated July 2025)

By enrolling in Natalie Gavin Acting (NGA) classes or workshops, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Attendance and Payment for Weekly Classes

Classes run once per week. Class times and fees are provided when a student joins and are also available on our website.

All contact with NGA should be via email: hello@nga-screenacting.co.uk

Payments and Booking

  • All class fees must be paid in advance, in 4-week blocks, via the NGA website.
  • Payment is processed securely through PayPal.
  • Classes are non-refundable and non-transferrable, except in the case of:
    • Absences due to professional performance work, illness, or bereavement, which must be communicated in advance via email. Proof may be requested.
    • Credits only (no refunds) are given in approved cases and must be used within 3 months of the missed class.
    • Students may request to reschedule to a different class within the same week, subject to availability and NGA’s discretion. Only one reschedule per class is permitted.
    • Students who attend erratically (e.g., booking one month, missing the next) may lose their place unless an ongoing professional commitment has been discussed and approved.

Cooling-Off Period

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, students booking online have a 14-day right to cancel. However, by booking and making payment, you acknowledge that your access to classes begins within this period and you waive your right to cancel.

Cancellations by NGA

If NGA cancels a class, the fee for that session will carry forward as a credit.

2. Attendance and Payment for Workshops

NGA offers workshops open to both current and non-current students. Times and fees are listed on our website.

  • All workshop fees must be paid in advance online. Secure payment is via PayPal.

Workshop Refunds

  • Full refunds are available up to 7 days before the workshop.
  • If you are unable to attend due to performance work, illness, or bereavement, and notify us via email in advance, a credit or transfer may be offered.
  • If NGA cancels a workshop, your payment will carry forward to a future event.

3. Behaviour, Conduct, and Student Responsibilities

At NGA we aim to provide a safe, professional, and respectful learning environment for all.

Students Must:

  • Treat tutors, fellow students, and NGA staff with respect.
  • Behave in a friendly and supportive manner that does not interfere with others.
  • Attend class in appropriate clothing and be ready to work professionally.
  • Keep mobile phones switched off during class unless agreed otherwise.
  • Maintain up-to-date email, mobile, and agent details with NGA.
  • Ensure their Casting Networks UK profile and representation status is current.
  • Notify absence via email to hello@nga-screenacting.co.uk, where it will be passed on to the tutor.

4. Unacceptable Behaviour

The following are not permitted in classes, workshops, or on premises:

  • Smoking, vaping (including e-cigarettes), alcohol, non-prescribed drugs, weapons, or offensive/explicit materials.
  • Use of offensive, sexist, racist, or abusive language.
  • Any bullying, aggression, or behaviour that endangers others.
  • Damaging or vandalising NGA or third-party property.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate exclusion without refund.

5. Use of Images and Recordings

By attending NGA classes or workshops, you give consent for your image (photos and video) to be recorded and used for marketing and promotional purposes, including on our website, social media, and advertising.

If you do not wish to appear in any promotional materials, please notify us in writing at hello@nga-screenacting.co.uk before attending. We will do our best to accommodate reasonable requests, especially for minors or vulnerable adults.

6. Commitment and Professionalism

Consistent attendance is key to developing your craft and being considered for professional opportunities.

  • Students who fail to attend for two consecutive blocks without communication may be removed from our student list and will need to reapply.
  • Participation in NGA classes or workshops does not guarantee representation, casting, or paid acting work.

7. Changes and Discretion

NGA reserves the right to make changes to class times, locations, or tutors where necessary.

We reserve the right to exclude any student from classes or workshops for breach of these terms, or behaviour we consider disruptive or inappropriate.

All decisions around credits, rescheduling, or exclusions will be made fairly and transparently.

8. Force Majeure

NGA is not liable for cancellation or delay of classes or workshops caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to: extreme weather, public transport disruption, strikes, government restrictions, illness, or national emergencies.

By booking and attending any Natalie Gavin Acting class or workshop, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
